Tyson + Kenna = Owen and Kate: A Weekend with Friends

Some old friends of ours, Jake and Lindsay, and their kiddos, Kimber and Blake, came to visit us over Fathers Day weekend. They hadn't been here as a family in a year so it was great to see them. They live in Texas and since Texas is a "whole other country" we haven't been able to get down there to visit them.

Our kids had such fun together. Kimber and Blake are 4 and 2, so we had kiddos ranging in age from 1-4. It was fun to watch them play and enjoy being together. Jake and Tyson had fun catching up and playing XBox games, a treat for Tyson! Lindsay and I also enjoyed catching up and even managed to get away for a few hours to enjoy a girls night with some other friends.

We wanted to do a photo shoot with our kiddos and Lindsay also wanted some family pics. The kids were as patient as 1-4 year olds can be. We managed to get some great pics before they started to get hot and bored. Jake and Tyson were good sports as they carried a table and 4 chairs around. It was worth it to Lindsay and I, but the guys might say otherwise. It was Fathers Day after all!

Owen has said that he misses Kimber at least once a week since then. Lindsay, we have to get them together again sooner than later. Maybe we can head South next time!
