Happy Halloween

Today didn't go exactly as planned.  When we went to bed last night we were planning to go to church this morning, stay afterwards for a tailgate/trunk or treat and then come home to get ready for a Halloween party at our house in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, our little Kate ended up getting sick at 2 am.  She finally stopped getting sick at 4am and we all managed to get a few more hours of sleep.  It was a rough night that I hope we don't have to repeat with her or any of the rest of our family. 

So our plans changed for the day to where Tyson and Owen went to church and I stayed home with Kate.  She has felt well all day and even wanted to go outside to play.  Unfortunately she hasn't eaten well, but we are hopeful that that will improve tomorrow. 

We canceled our Halloween party much to our disappointment but our friend Carenza and her son Beckham joined us for trick or treating.  Since Kate had had a good day we decided to take her with Owen and Beckham.  This was Owen and Kate's first year to trick or treat the neighborhood and they really enjoyed it.  Owen learned quickly to look for homes with their porch lights on.  He led the pack most of the time to the next house!
