November: Thanksgiving Roadtrip #1

We traveled for Thanksgiving this year. Tyson was able to take off work early on Wednesday so we had dinner with my Nanny in Wichita Falls, our first stop on the Thanksgiving Roadtrip.  Owen was so excited to go to Nanny's house.  We hadn't been there in over a year and he still remembered her fun 'vintage' toys.  I can't bring myself to say 'antique' because I used to play with them!  Nanny was so excited to have us and even got down in the floor to play with Owen and Kate.  She is 87 years young and didn't hesitate to sit in the floor with them.  She's a special lady with such a precious heart!

The rest of the Eck family came throughout the night and on Thanksgiving morning.  Owen and Kate were so excited to play with their cousin, Arwen, the next morning.  Nanny's house was pretty noisy around 8am!  My brother's new baby boy, Jonas, made this his first roadtrip and did very well with traveling.  Nanny was so excited to meet him for the first time.  It was such fun to have the two new Eck babies together.  You'll see their matching turkey shirts in the pics below. So precious!  I just love having my arms full of babies when we get together now!

We spent Thanksgiving day with the Owen side of the family and then drove to Waurika where my Uncle Biff and Aunt Val hosted the Eck side of the family for dinner.  We were able to see my Papa who is 93 years young. I hadn't seen him in almost 9 months so I was happy to have that time with him. He was very entertained by all the commotion that comes with 6 kiddos!

On Friday and Saturday we stayed in Healdton with my sis Meg.  Again the kids had such fun playing with Arwen.  Megan squeezed in a family photo shoot on Friday.  I'm so glad that she did because we needed an updated family pic with the two new babies!  It was hard to say goodbye on Saturday morning when we left for the next destination on our roadtrip, Stillwater.
