December: Cookies, Lights, Parties and Santa

We had such fun this month making new traditions and memories.  The kids really enjoyed the Christmas season this year.  We went to the Christmas Train at Dry Gulch for the first time with some friends.  There are more pics below from that trip.

Riding the "Elf Train"

Poor Baby Kate rode the whole time like this.  I didn't notice until it was already moving!

We had an Ugly Christmas Sweater party with our bible class from church. Tyson took home the prize for " the best use of a lighthouse on a sweatshirt" category!  We had a lot of fun getting to know the people in our bible class more.

It's too bad that you can't see the lighthouse in this pic!

We took the kids to Rhema Bible College to see their amazing Christmas light display. Some of them are set to music and are fun to watch. Thankfully we chose a night that wasn't too cold, so we all enjoyed walking around and taking our time.

Owen was excited to have his friend Logan over for an all day playdate just before Christmas.  They had such fun playing with playdoh, legos, geotrax, trains, cars and whatever else they could get their hands on.

We had a cookie decorating party at our church for the kids.  They really enjoyed decorating and eating the cookies and I enjoyed visiting with the other moms.

Owen had a Christmas party at his preschool and we went to help with it. He had a lot of fun taking pics with his best friend Dylan.

We saw Santa twice this year.  Each time Kate was not a fan of him.  Owen wasn't afraid but after seeing his sister's reaction he wondered if he should be!

We made sugar cookies at home for the first time.  Tyson took several days off during the week of Christmas so he helped us decorate them.
