Tyson + Kenna = Owen and Kate: December: An Eck-stra Great Christmas

We spent the weekend before Christmas with the Eck side of our family. This year Travis and Shelley hosted Christmas in Shreveport. They had baby Jonas in late September so they were happy to not have to make another roadtrip so soon after Thanksgiving. We left around noon on Friday and made it to their house by dinner. It was nice to get there earlier in the evening so the kids could play with Arwen before bedtime.

On Saturday James, Meg, Jackson, Mom and Dad joined us at Travis and Shelley's house. We spent the day watching the kids play and going to Travis' art show that was in a gallery downtown. It was fun to see his artwork in a gallery setting. He's so talented. Afterwards we had a wonderful meal prepared by Shelley and opened gifts.

On Sunday we went to church, ate lunch and let the kids play some more before leaving in the afternoon. We traveled with James and Meg and met them for dinner halfway through our trip. It was such a nice weekend. Owen said within minutes of leaving Arwen's house that he "already missed Arwen"! They have such fun together.
