March: Introducing Cousin Jackson to the OK Aquarium

My sister, Megan and my nephew, Jackson came for a mid-week visit in March.  Originally we had planned to take the kids to the zoo but it was rainy so we opted to introduce Jackson to the OK Aquarium.  It's nice to have the aquarium so close to our home in Jenks. It's a great place to take the kids for an hour or two of entertainment.  Owen thinks he owns the place because we go so often.  His favorite animals to see are the beavers, stingrays and sharks.  Kate seems to like the sharks best.  Jackson was just happy to be with his crazy cousins!

We had an unusual visit with the beaver this time.  It was especially active and started following Owen along the side of his tank.  Owen started moving his hands in a dog-paddle type fashion and the beaver copied him. We all thought that it was hilarious! If I could figure out how to upload a video on my blog I'd share it with you!

At the end of our visit Megan introduced Owen and Kate to the smash-a-penny-with-a-fish-stamp machine.  Not sure what it's called but that's pretty much what it does!  My kids have never noticed this machine before but thanks to Aunt Meg they ask for "pennys" every time we go now. I suppose that's one of the many perks to being an aunt, so I intend to spoil Jackson in return!  Thanks for coming Meg.  We had such a great time as usual!
