Our church had an egg hunt on the first Sunday in April. It was a super windy and hot day but the kids had fun hunting eggs. The church provided hot dogs, inflatables and a huge egg hunt. The kids were broken into various age groups and thankfully both of ours were in the same group. There were so many eggs that they ended up scattering them in an open field and letting the kids go crazy.
Grandmother bought Owen and Kate new Easter baskets this year. When she got them in the mail she realized just how big they were. Kate can actually sit in hers! These are supposed to be their long-term baskets, so they'll grow into them. She filled them with all sorts of baking goodies with a spring/Easter theme and they each had a personalized apron. Such an adorable idea! They each had a cupcake and sugar cookie mix in their baskets. So we made half of them and will make spring cupcakes and cookies into the summer! The aprons were also a hit with the kids. Kate wears hers anytime she's "cooking" in her play kitchen. Owen wears his every time he offers to help me cook. Thanks so much Grandmother!
Since Grandmom and Papa were here the week before Easter they brought goodies for the kids ahead of time. Kate got a new baby doll that she loves to carry everywhere. Owen got a stuffed bunny that Kate also loves to carry around! Thankfully Owen is good at sharing!
